Looks quite nice in red, decent value considering what it is...

Spent a lot modding mine, wonder what would happen if I bought a proper AMG? Look for Brabus, Kleeman or Vath bits?

No modding required ! It's a proper monster ..... If i had 18 grand i'd be en-route right now .... i like it in red ...

Definitely a lot of car for the money, it's just that I really want an S211 E55 Estate, may be tempted with a 203 C55 Estate but it would have to be very very very good & resonably priced...

This was advertised a couple of weeks ago 1K dearer so looks like the trader wants shot of it. Similar cars are going for 4K more money.
So it would be a good buy.
I think the red looks good its different.

Weak spots are the same as any other C-Class really. Nothing AMG specific.

Being a facelift there should be fewer issues than early W203, and of course as it's a few years old now any niggles should have been sorted.

I'd budget an extra grand for an extended Tier 1 MB Warranty, and enjoy a fast car, for little cash.

yes, essentially the same engine, compared to the 208 CLK55: with nicer cover .. and more power .. higher state of tune and slightly different components. Also same engine as that in the facelift SLK55

I actually quite like the red but I guess you limited the market it would appeal to.
