Has anybody bought a budget DVD player lately?

I am after 12, yes twelve budget DVD players none of the 'Superstores' want to do a deal, any ideas?

Argos do some for £30 (Acoustioc Sound) and they are not too bad ata all and look trendy - however, sound will not work properly if a modern TV is not used - we bought a load of TVs/DVD players to flogg off with some houses/flats we just did...

Richer Sounds ?????

Have you tried Richer Sounds?

Link

Always cheap and cheerful but the goods are top quality :)

Plenty of options

If Richersounds aren't up to it (a bit surprising) then maybe you could try one of the postal order companies I have used:

Aria
http://www.aria.co.uk/

Scan
http://www.scan.co.uk/

As they both do players for under £30.

Also you could try looking at the website:

www.comparestoreprices.com to see who can do you a cheap player.

Good Luck

Cheers

...R2D2 beat me to it - but in my asda it was about £25

you only get the extra fiver off if you tap your bum twice on the way out and grin inanely !!

We got down to £25 from both Asda and Comet, will go and twist some arms tomorrow as I also need 4 Microwaves and 4 Fridges, surely one of the big stores would do a deal on this little lot?

One of the 'Big' stores said they would refuse to sell me such a quantity??

I was in Asda in Bournmouth this afternoon and they had the £19 ones piled high. My daughter got one at £29 for Christmas and they are a good little machine that does what it says on the can.

Giving them away as part of a loyalty scheme, we have bought some decent branded ones for 'good' customers, we need some cheap ones for all the others.

Oh, the really good customers got a £800 Quad bike

I hate these promotions, too expensive. Bah HumBug!!!

Jimmy,

The best 'cheap' DVD player around at the mo is [IMHO] the Bush one - available via Tescos.

It's £40 - which I know is twice the price of lots you can get now .... but

It plays all DVD and CD formats - which some (note: not all) - certainly the cheaper ones have difficulty with.

It's not on their website - but I got one the other day (birthday gift for someone). I still have it upstairs if you're interested in model details, part number, etc ....
