I don't actually like the AMG kit for the CLK ( especially the front bumper ) but if i have to put a rear one and skirts on , that'll be a job for next year ....

You know what, I agree with you 100% on that, its the only AMG front which doesnt look 'right' agaist the rest of the car IMO. I think its the round fogs perhaps?

Id still have the AMG bumpers though, rarer the better

A friend of mine used to run his C32 with C180 badges, as he kept being followed by every plod car he passed when it had AMG on its rear.

I think that is actually illegal - my friend got pulled over by the plod after a PNC check revealed it was not displaying what it was.... and they suspected possible false plates etc....

Luckily enough the plod understood but advised that the badges be removed or corrected - and also suggested possible insurance implications as well.

I've rebadged cars for years and never once been pulled over, ran a Hartge Cooper S badged as a Mini One D, current supercharged VR6 is badged as a CL some days (magnetic strip on the reverse of the badge) and other days carries big red 16V badges, a mate of mine had an e30 325i Sport with a 2.7 litre Les Stannard engine and badged it as a 316i, another mate used to run his M3 with 316i badges.

Most of the time it makes the cars less desirable to car thieves and secondly its amazing fun
