OK ... my entry is from M-B Ascot (Greenoaks) today, to replace a short section of of side-moulding (bump strip). Invoice total including part, labour (spraying in body colour) and VAT - £35.10 :thumb:

Somebody messed up in the stealer. At a minimum it should have been 135.10!

OK I will come clean ... this was for the Vito rather than the SL. But it was at a local main dealership (not a commercial one), so I was still very pleasantly surprised. The unpainted part (side moulding) was just £6.75 plus VAT!

Commercial parts and labour pricing is always cheaper due to competition.

I had a dent knocked out and painted for £75, but only as they were fitting a new boot lid anyway.

But as mentioned this wasn't a commercial dealership, it was a car one. Maybe their workshop charges one rate for a 639 Viano and another for a 639 Vito, but I would be surprised :dk:

Not much competition for commercial vehicles in Ascot either :D

As an aside, our Jasper Blue Vito really stood out in the car park - everything else there was white, black, or silver!
