Just paid 85.9p a litre for petrol at Sainsburys - including a 5p a litre discount.

Didnt ever think I would see it dip under 90p........

Anyone bought cheaper today?

Piad 88.9 at shell this morning. Obvioulsy no 5p discount.

Still 90.9p here :(

not sure on all the prices in my home town but did notice the dearest garage here for fuel was 89.9p

strange but the last few times iv'e filled up the price has gone down that day. Price is 89.9 in Derby most types Shell,Esso but not BP about 2p more. Think it's about time for a fill up on Monday will see if it works?.

fill up as the 2p hike is going to push it back up this week...

88.9 at the shell here. Additional 3p off every litre if you have the shell credit card too making is 85.9

Take alook for the cheapest fuel upto 20 miles around you...

Nationally, 87.9p is the cheapest Unleaded today - and take 5p off if you have a Tesco/Sainsburys voucher!!

Cheers:bannana:

Heard this morning that the government are about to hike up the tax on fuel :devil::devil::devil:

filled up in shell for 95.9 on v-power (their unleaded was 88.9) :)

Yup I filled the SL up with V-Power yesterday ... it was well below the quarter tank mark, and it only cost £56 to fill!

off to Shell to sort a credit card last time I looked into this you got 6p off for the first 6 weeks then 3p not bad if you pay it off each month.

I just have the Shell 'drivers club' (rewards scheme) card, which is better than nothing. You choose vouchers for Argos, Next, etc.

just had alook at the shell card web page 3p on fuel back into your A/C plus 1p on other transactions 6p on fuel for first 60 days only when fuel is over £1 per ltr. Looks like you get a credit at the start of each bill (not off your fuel as at Asda).
But look after the 1p and the £s will look after them selves.

I've got the Shell (CitiFinancial) Credit card giving 3p off/litre after the introductory 6p off, AND the Shell Drivers Club, where you get points for purchases, which I convert to further money off fuel (although I think the Shop vouchers may be a better deal financially).

As you say, count the pennies ...

As a matter of interest does anyone know how much petrol was last time oil was $50 a barrel?
