If you're going to take it off every night why not invest in a magnetic one, or even mod the original one to be magnetic.

I would have no hesitation in demanding my £ from the garage concerned.
Why on earth should you have to remove the star pre-wash?- what next remove the cars door mirrors just in case they also become detached?
The wash machine was clearly faulty- it's as simple as that.

Try GSF a fiver, ok maybe not as sturdy or the same but don't notice a difference!

The emblem is probably old and worn, then the spring gives out and they come off.
Hard to see how the wash could be faulty, it's a rotatiing brush.

You wont get anywhere with the garage im afraid.. like has already been said, they all have huge signs up telling you they wont be responsible..
