I have been advised that the total box and ATC capacity requires 8 litres of tranny fluid. The service requires oil drainage via removal of plug from the pan and removal of ATC plug via bell housing plus change of filter and pan gasket. Q: Does the ATC get automatically re-filled when oil is poured down the tube in the engine bay or is there another step in the process? Advice would be welcome. Thanks

Hi. There is an excellent DIY set by step in the HOWTO Section. It will provide all the info you need.

Ok thanks. Will check out the HOWTO section.

The HOWTO is very useful, however the final comment refers to re-setting the gearbox adaptation using STAR. Can anyone please explain?

Is it important to follow the instructions in the HOWTO guide? It seems odd that the gearbox is topped up with 3L of oil and then the ATC is drained. If they are part of the same resevoir of oil then it makes sense to drain the sump pan and the ATC before topping up the complete system with new oil. Have I missed something important?

To drain the TC the car must be run (no drain plug on TC), if you drain everything out then the system will run dry.

Worth getting a tube of Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder fix in as well
