Hi all has anyone ever solved the problem of the 220 cdi hesitating/miss at 2000rpm on light acceleration seen a few people reporting this problem but no solution any info would be much appreciated

Check out the EGR valve, these can get badly gunged up after a few miles, I had to changed mine at 130k to get rid of a similar problem.

If I run the car with egr unplugged it drives fine and does not go into limp mode
Just don't want to spend £210 if it's not that
What symptoms did your car have

Rough running (sometimes was so bad that it felt like the wheels were going to fall off) on a nuetral throttle between 1500 - 2000 rpm and limp mode which became more prevalent as time went on. I replaced the MAF which was a red herring and eventually cleaned the EGR which did give some improvement but still occasional limp mode, it turn out that the EGR was not sealing off completely which caused a 'plausibility error' with the MAF which triggered the limp mode. MB had 4 goes before they identified the correct EGR (£140) and note that they call it a 'gas mixing chamber'. Good luck.

Hi all,

I too have develop the same issue, in the end what did you do to sort it out?

Thanks
