CLK 270 W209 Auto Box Problem

Have major problems with the car,, This morning 5am, drives off, and can hear a whynning sound from engine, thinking its cold engine not warm, driving slow, notice that car will not go up in gears, no more than 30MPH cars in summer mode..

Stops car turns off restart and selected winter mode, car now drive fine..

Going Home car will not go above 30 again. phoned RAC chap came out, said sounds like clutch's slipping, so I gets taken to MB Notts.

No warning messages on dash
Car will select manual mode but still not pull
Reverse Gear ok car would drive ok,

Any ideas of what's could be the problem..

The whirring could be the primary pump in the transmission being blocked with broken debris? It certainly sounds like an internal failure

Up date to Auto Box Problem

Wife is pulling her hair out, Mums saying I told you so,, why didn't u buy a family car, HAHA,,,

Got results of problem,, electro plate not talking, COS bearing went BANG..

Now driving a Kia , Drives smooth over pot holes & road humps, cheap on gas, & great MPG , cheap insurance, and doesn't need cleaning...

Car back on Tuesday with new box newissssssssssssssh
