CLK C209 number plate bulb

Any recommendations for an led bulb or sealed led unit to do these, I hear many canbus horror stories. Or should I just replace with ordinary filament ones?

I tried various LED's and a sealed unit. They all failed at some point, I just use standard bulbs now.

I thought that might be the case, thanks for confirming it, I assume it's as simple as removing two screws and the clear lens to access the bulb?

Yes just the two scews need to be removed.

Replaced both of mine a few days ago, easy to do you just need to make sure you get the right sized festoon bulb as there are different lengths.

Stick to original, had nothing but problems with LEDs, canbus compatible etc nothing worked.
Tried 3 times with reversing lights, last set now fitted to my 190B and appear no brighter than original bulbs.
