2001 clk 430
Hi all just had my clk430 serviced and the garage said it will need front discs and pads on shortly so he priced them up with genuine merc parts.price seemed a little high but don't want cheap parts.Has anyone any ideas what's a good alternative and good value? They also said that they where the same size as the Amg ones but looking on eBay it looks like they are all the same unless it is an amg55 is this true many thanks again

Hi, you could try eurocar parts, they sell textar & pagid, I have used both brands for discs & pads and found them to be pretty good.

The CLK430 appears to share the same size discs as the w208 CLK55 330mm dia vented discs. I am just waiting to buy so discs for my CLK55 from MTEC who advertise on Ebay.

What sort of price did they quote you. MTEc make some good value discs that come slotted and drilled if that type of thing floats your boat.

to supply and fit genuine merc discs, pads and wires £336.But while its just a straight forward job i might have them fitted at my local garage just need to decide which make to purchase.

CLK55 Front discs are not the same as the 430, be careful if you are sourcing 55 discs as they are rarely the correct sizes.

Hi guys

Thanks for PM'in your reg - However even the MB EPC cant confirm which brakes you have fitted :|

The difference in pads is obvious (shape) however the discs are pretty much the same (316mm or 330mm)

Unfortunately the only way to confirm is to visually inspect the pads, Sorry :(
