Clk wheel arch question

Hi all,quick question i have a clk w208 with rusty wheel arches (shock),has anyone got any pictures of they car with chrome wheel arches that have been painted,i would like to see what they look like.thanks Mark

Should be easy enough to sort, without having chrome wheel arches on to hide it, where are you located? i would give you a hand, if your close enough.

Can you not buy black versions of the chrome arches? I'm sure I've seen them advertised.

I would not charge you at all, i just like the satisfaction of helping, and the end result

It's not going to be that hard to sort out yourself, there is a fantastic guide on repairing and repainting the wheel arches and also a preventative measure you can use to stop it coming back.

I was going to buy chrome arches and spray them in the car colour.

That's a stop gap at best isn't it ?

The rust will still be there , and will probably be made worse , being enclosed behind a cover so it never dries out ?

Isn't it a better idea to fix them properly ?

im not the world best paint sprayer,plus i wouldnt just put the arches over the rust,i would grind the rust off and hammarite it.
