cls55 hunting #2

Looks alright in photos, however no close ups or photos of the drivers seat.

Centre heater vent is damaged, you can see some of the vanes arent allined.

If it has the mileage claimed it's about right.

Difficult to really tell the cndition from photos. That one is top of the price range albeit a good mileage. If you go to look at it, make sure those heated seats and all the KG handles work. Handles are around £200 each to replace, and heated seats expensive to fix.

Owned by a person who works with or knows Wayne Gates, the car is supposed to be in good nick according to him. Ring him for more info. I'm sure it is this one

One thing to bear in mind with these cars is that they are 12 years old and even at 15k you are not going to get a minter. I'm not suggesting that's what you're looking for by the way, just that given this car, you are going to buy one that will have a few niggles. Hopefully nothing major. It is the nature of the beast with AMGs of a certain age and indeed any high performance car of a certain age. Service history is important and the condition. I'd buy a high miler if the car was looking good and had a full and decent service history.

That said, my car is mechanically spot on, but body wise it's not the best and that's because it's my everyday car, isn't garaged and I do like to drive it properly so to speak. It's no garage queen.

I do hope you get one soon though because they are great cars and even at the top end of the price scale it's a hell of a lot of car for the money, a hell of a lot.

Great advice from Chris above !!

It looks really good and nice peace of mind re history

Yep, as above. My front bumper looks like a starry night with all the stone chips.

Couldn't agree more, I got mine with a few niggles but was happy mechanically.

Hi - i've recently joined the forum and owned my CLS55 for over 8 years. It's a 2 owner car (2005). I know it's sound mechanically and know it inside out.
I now have a C63 W204 which is also lovely so this is surplus requirements. Not keen to sell but doesn't make sense for me to have both as they're both 4 doors beasts!
