Clunking Noise when Reversing (C63 2014) - coming from tyres I think

Hi,

Just bought a C63 AMG and love the car, it's a 2014 plate with 4k miles on it.

A strange sound happens when I reverse and it's quite hard to describe but I think somebody else had exactly the same issue:-
http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/wheels-tyres-brakes-suspension/125045-suspension-clunk-noise.html

It's as though the car tyre has sort of moved on it's sidewall, like it's slipped slightly and made a noise.

The car is almost new, front tyres are still very new with only 4k on the clock.

I wondered if this is a common issue, is it something MB would investigate for me or do I just live with it?

Replacing the tyres doesn't sound like a good idea because it'll only do it again in a couple of thousand miles anyway.

Thanks

I'm guessing its pronounced, when turning the steering wheel... Mine did the same, until I fitted new tyres.
I've recently swopped my oem wheels over for refurbishment, fitted the tyres to the new rims (wider) and now experience the same issue.
Its something I can live with....

I'm more concerned it's causing damage but if it's not I'll live with it too!!
