You people know if you read the forum post .I replaced both front wings , The Mercedes rust inhibitor is very sparce inside the wings and the way its done on the older W124 is the side marker light is removed , and then a spray wand inserted, and job done. Its just a splash of wax it runs down not protecting anything really . But the wings are treated before fitting .Just along the wheel arch is this material like seam sealer . It was as hard as concret, this had shrunk and split all around the arch turn over .The split was about 1/16 continuous ,this let the water in so it never left to dry out. And a lot of other places body sections will show the same sign .So its best to get under and check it out big time .If you have no pit , or ramps, then ask at you local garage if they will put the car up on the 4 poster to check it . Then ask if you can look at it with the mechanic i do . I take my black wax along and at the same time i spray the bottom of the car I slip him a few notes and he is happy ./
