Comand Aux socket

Hi, I have a (W163) 2004 ML270CDi with a factory fitted Comand unit, and tho the hand book states that the Aux socket is located in the glove box, it is not there.

I have not seen the manual from an ML, does it describe the AUX socket at section title starting with an asterisk? Perhaps you have to retrofit the AUX socket?

im pretty sure its an option.. ive seen cars with and without..

2004 was the year they got stingy and started removing it from many models. However, the wiring looms for COMAND on the W163 ML (2 types, one for MY02/03, and one for 04-etc) dont have the AUX socket wiring in them, so a bit surprised any manual has it in !
