2003 E320 cdi elegance
Hi all,

I am sure someone can advise me. Should a 2003 E320 CDI with command fitted have a cd changer. Car advertised as CD multichanger cassette etc but have spent all day looking and can't find a multi changer. I have checked the boot (only the nav disk there) and the dash hidden compartment (thats just a blank -) Any ideas please.

Cheers

On the panel with the buttons for the hazards , press the crome strip under the hazard btton , this should open a comparment with the CD changer in , or a comparment if no CD is fitted

Thanks for the info. Have just tried tht and asyou say it is just a compartment. I am guessing that it hasn't a multi changer then!

Thanks for trying and the reply.
As an after thought is it possible to fit a changer as an after market?

The CD changer can be retro fitted , its not a big job , but if the parts where bought new from MB it could be pricey .

thanks for the info. Looks like a watching brief on ebay then eh? We live but don't always learn!

The CD changer, mountings and loom come in at around £350 from the dealer.

Fitting it is not easy unless you have taken one of these to bits before.

Fitting the Cd changer is fairly straight forward in a W211. There are instructions floating around if you need them.

As you have comand you could fit a Mercedes IPOD interface for about half the cost. This is a bigger job though. Again, instructions are around.

but do you really need a cd-changer?

Since you have Comand you can burn your cd`s on a DVD. A DVD can hold until 1200 songs - search on this brilliant forum, and you will learn how to do it.
