Hi all I have 2003 W209 Clk with command and a blue tooth ViseeO MBU-1000 phone system, all works well - phone book in command etc, but I cant use the steering wheel function!!! When I do it says No function!!

Is this a setting somewhere or is it a fault with the phone, the command or the blue tooth? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there
I think you have the wrong viseeo unit.
The MBU 2000 is for post 2005 cars.
I have just fitted An MBU 1000 to my 2004 w211, this is the one for pre 2005 models and i have full control through the steering wheel etc...
Hope this helps
Cheers...

Ok thanks, I will check the instruction book, I know I have it somewhere may need to sell mine on eBay and get a replacement.

Thanks for attaching manual and link, but it leads me to another question, the manual talks about a phone cradle? Which I don't have? My ViseeO is fitted straight into the little connection in the glovebox? (not sure what its called but it is a 2" by 2" slide connecter) So I don't clip my phone in at all, it remains in my pocket and just links through bluetooth - I thought this was the idea of BT (no charging obviously) but no leaving the phone behind in the car either

Hi jonny hope you re well. How good is the Viseeo? I'm about to buy one for the same car as you so I thought I'd ask your opinion. Is the call quality clear on both sides and what phone do you have it hooked up to?

Hi Harry
I bought it this week second hand off ebay for £70.
Its a cracking bit of kit,so easy to install.
Just select the correct switch settings on the back of the device for your particular phone cradle, plug it in and let it sync with command.
Next turn your bluetooth on on your phone, find the device and hey presto your phonebook is synced with command and your ready to go!!!
You may need to alter the volume on the device depending on whether you have a single or multiple microphones fitted to your car but that is it.
It syncs with command and phone everytime you re-enter the car and if you have new contacts on your phone these are automatically downloaded to command.
Im using it with an iphone 4 and the signal at both ends is crystal clear.
Hope this helps!!!

Yours is obviously a retrofit and someone hasnt got the instrument cluster configured for the phone, thats why you get the no function message from the steering wheel buttons.

Take it to someone with STAR who can fix that

Yes as above the UHI system has been retrofitted, if it was a factory installation the connection would be in the centre armrest. You will find the phone buttons work when you get a call but you will need them enabled properly by someone with STAR for full functionality.
