personally I'd go with the display but I guess it all depends how many miles you do. If you only do 130 a week (bliss) then for it to suddenly slash the time like this can be annoying and I can see why you might be tempted to go with the previous indicator.
If you are thinking of going for the 10 weeks then I would clear that with your dealer first so you don't invaidate your warranty. They can be very picky if you allow it to go over the deadline raised by ASSYST.
