Considering a W211 E55K

So my total closure didn't work either... or so I thought as it bugged me.

Went out to it just now, tried it by holding down the lock button (it should also completely open with holding the unlock) It wouldn't work.

A bit of googling. If it's a weak signal for whatever reason, try holding your key next to the infrared square on the door handle. I held down as before and it worked.

I did that as well Gunning, the window closes part way then stops.

Yup, you worked it out but I was going to say - it isn't the same as the ability to receive the remote unlock / lock signal because you need to be firing it directly at that IR square.
