conversion update on my w212

I think the effect is very, very good and only some angles would it not look real. So kudos on creating a very nice piece of artwork! :)

At first, when you showed it to me a few days ago, I thought wow, very individual, but I think I'll reserve my final opinion 'till I see it in real life. But, as I say, very clever. You could probably market those....actually, business venture? Call me! :)

r u back now? Its Monday?

Yes, but very busy. We can talk at length tomorrow morning if you like! :)

i got a very personal spec to mine, which worked.

the e class is a very dull and boring car.

i had to get some mods done to keep it as fresh as possible.

im happy with it, i think... just very boring... and lacks emotion an character... hopefully some of the mods (if not all) will keep a smile on my face.

That still doesn't make any sense at all.

That does look a bit all over the place.. i have manflu... bare with me lol.

i was trying to say the standard 212 was dull and bland.

i do believe my spec and combo when ordered gave it a heart beat and now the additional mods kinda make it look visually more appealing.. and sure its no thoroughbred, but it does have a charm now when i look at her :)

hope that makes more sense this time around

To me it begs the question: For the money was the W212 really the best car you could find? It sounds as if you don't like it very much, which is curious as you could have bought another make if you wanted, without spending time and money garnishing it..

Got a point there, you have never liked the W212 Boss...?

i was looking at the JAG, CLS CDI and BMW 5 SERIES.

BMW - found it to be horrid inside in terms of build quality
JAG - I loved it.. but too big externally, and again the dash was a bit flimsy
CLS - the colour and spec was not around when i was looking, the best was a combo in Oxford on a grand edition, as i wanted memory seats, with a light interior, and air matic, which limited the market (Barry this was the one i passed your way i think.. dunno if you ever saw this one by mail)

Having got rid of the 211, it needed a replacement, so wifey was to get a cabrio at some point (she had TT at the time) and now has the audi S5 cab, . so to fit inbetween, an E would be suitable or an estate or 4x4.

Again, the spec on my car really was radical from others.. and thus to me anyway, had an exotic element to it. i know you all suggest is unappealing goldy beige, but from most angles, it is an interesting combo.

in reality, looking back, if i didnt get the 212, what would i have got...

id say, prob a range rover. i do need more space... and the 212 just hasnt been used in the way i envisaged when i first got her..

the only car looking interesting to me at the mo is the cls shooting brake, but the price point is not where i want to go for now..

How about a facelift with your mod Boss?
