How much do you think the above will cost on my C250 TD? I've got a sealed tag on the dipstick and I was lead to believe that at some point it would have been changed? The wagon has done 145k miles.

TIA!

Another question Black C55 do you know the gearbox service schedule for the changing of fluid as per MB instructions?

There is no interval on your car. According to mb it is sealed for life. As we all know this is BS.

I personally recommend every 40K frm experience.

I just had my gearbox oil changed at mercedes tony perslow for my slk55 and it was £147 with some discount.

That is very cheap.

7L of ATF is £74

Gasket: £10

Filter £10

Labour 1.5 hours.

I just can see how they do it for that at main dealer.

Not draining the torque converter? guess that would save 3 litres of fluid?

Last one we did was £180 + VAT

They did my CDi for £164 about a year ago, MB tony perslow they are really good.

I had the slk55 done the other week for £147 with 25% discount I think.:thumb:

Did they drain the torque converter? How many litres of fluid did they charge you for?

Don't know, I booked the car for a gearbox service and the changed the oil/filter and some switch because it had a slight leak, don't exactly know if they drained the torque converter.

they did a good job though as it changes gear allot smoother now!

how do you drain the TC if it doesn't have drain plug?

I did mine at around 10,000 miles.

lol

Your like me man I'm thinking of what to change on my car 24/7 even in my sleep lmao!

as soon as I got the m3 I changed the oil/filter/Vanos filter and now im thinking of other stuff that I may need to service even though the car has just had a service 3k ago.
