Mercedes-Benz recalls 354,000 vehicles due to fire risk
quote:-
Sadly, none of those vehicles can be repaired yet, because Mercedes-Benz doesn't have an ample supply of parts. Owners will receive interim recall notices in late March, which will alert them to the problem. The automaker expects to have parts on hand in July 2017 and will mail a second recall notice then.
extrapolating from that:- there has been no global style recall notice in the UK and if its not regarded as critical [ occurs only under extreme circumstances] it may be owners will only be contacted once parts are available to effect a repair? -- and/or-- Mercedes will be still collating a list of vehicles affected via their records and the DVLA?
