David Beckhams Old S500

Thankfully for those of us who don't feel we can judge the rest of humanity with much conviction we have someone of such innate superiority as you to do it for us.
I'm truly gratefully I don't know you.

What a stupid, stupid post, it says far more about you as an individual than anyone else. The comment about slums is appalling.

At the risk of stooping to your level... ...you can take the boy out of Penistone etc, you fill in the blanks.

How original ! What a wit you possess. A joke about Penistone, never heard one before, laugh..I nearly started.

Try Sutton Coldfield,Nottingham,Buckingham,Lichfield,Bellefontaine,Leeds,I've lived in them all.

No wonder you're bitter...

Back to the car.....if it wasn't pre-owned by a celeb, what's it worth?
Very good point. I don't understand eBay, or celebs, but got to be worth more than the £3.5k bid even without provenance? It's loaded (assuming everything works).

Another massive wit (no, it's a word like wit but more letters). The penetrating intelligence and razor like repartee that has always been your trademark. How we have all come to love it.

You always have been your greatest fan. A legend in your own mind.

You come across as an irritated fool.

Earlier you said that David Beckham was a yob. If there is one thing he hasn't been, it's a yob. Also, he has setup his charities to help under-privileged children, which have been a great success.

What have you done or achieved?

It wouldnt bother me who owned the car tbh. Its the car im buying at the end of the day.

I hope I end up having a life 10% as successful as either of them. I will have used my time well on this earth.
Car is a nice spec, I have asked about the history. I might have a punt if it stays sensible.
Not a football fan but the history is interesting. Shame its had a few owners since.

A hit,a palpable hit,now that's the Dieselman we all know, can't see a fire without throwing fuel on it. I don't need to boast about my achievements, unlike some.

I would say dieselman put some serious perspective on things highlighting the Beckham's huge contribution to charities and agree he couldn't be further from a yob.

I think we have some trolling action going on here? ;)

Back to the car - do they have any particular areas that need checking out? Any foibles particular to the S Class?

I have to plead guilty,it's like stealing sweets from a child, winding up some of our more challenged contributors when they struggle to assemble an insult.

However the question remains, what incredibly small proportion of their fortune do the Beckhams devote to charity? Is not the widows mite much more praiseworthy, but it doesn't get praised because the widow doesn't employ an army of publicity agents to make sure her every good deed is in the paper.

Yob or not,I suppose it depends on your definition. To me anyone who scars his body with tattoos, wears his hair in ridiculous "styles",calls his children stupid names,is married to the whey faced ex singer,AND seeks massive publicity for all these things is a yob, promoting the cult of selfishness and self centered vanity for financial gain.

What the Beckhams choose to do,how they spend their money is entirely their own business, but why do they thrust it down our throats via their publicity machine? Is it because they seek validation by public approval?

My vicar has a tattoo as did Winston Churchill, Thomas Edison and King Harold II. You also write off many cultures including practically the whole of the South Pacific.
Can i suggest you channel your hatred into more positive contributions to this site and society in general? After all your constant need to be right is the epitome of vanity.

Beckham, who had been a free agent since leaving Los Angeles Galaxy just before Christmas, said: "We've decided on something that's quite unique. I won't receive any salary: we've decided my salary will go towards a local children's charity in Paris and that's one of the things we're very excited and proud to do.
"It's something I'm not sure has been done before but I'm passionate about children and the charity, so we came together and it's something special."

Would we donate our wages to charity?

Can I suggest you consider using "in my opinion" or do you really think you speak for everyone? You will note, but choose to disregard in your efforts to be rude, that I said "to me".

Can I suggest you get off your high horse?

If we had a nett worth of £200 million it might not be too difficult. A sacrifice is only a sacrifice if it costs you something. However it is a good example nevertheless.

This section of the forum should be renamed to:

"We can't wait to hear your opinion on this car and choices its first owner has made with regard to the interior colour and of course his wife"
