Car needs servicing and want to get it serviced by Mercedes.

Just wanted to know, do all the dealers have a fixed price for servicing or are some cheaper than others?

Im around South East London/Kent but would be willing to travel to different dealers if they are cheaper etc.

from what i have seen it varies massively from dealer to dealer, call around and play them off of each other, they seem to make up prices as they go along lol!

My local dealer (MB Ashford) refer you to a website - it's mymercedesservice.co.uk - where you enter your reg number and it gives you price for the next service. Mine's due a B service, they want £352 - and it does not need fuel and air filters, brake fluid change, so that £352 is basically an oil and oil filter change and checking loads of things, plus is "drop and go" so no coffee, no courtesy car etc!!

SE London - there's a well respected specialist just off the Sidcup bypass between Critalls Corner and the Chislehurst Road. I think there's another in/near Bromley. The only reason I can think of for using dealer would be either warranty or retqaining Mobilo - but I'm a long time AA member so the Mobilo advantage is only if I take the car to Europe.

All the MB main dealerships in the M25 area (one or two just outside also) are owned by MB so they should all be exactly the same prices. A few up in Midlands I believe are also owned by MB. Elsewhere they're franchised so can be cheaper but from Kent you'd have to travel a long way to get a major price drop. I checked across the whole of England and I only managed to find an MB dealer up near the Scots border that was cheaper (cost of fuel and overnight would have negated the cost difference). As above, MB Indies are probably your only way to reduce cost.

Not sure thats true, they are all franchises round me and I'm in Sussex. To the OP dont accept the first price, they will go down. I got my last B service for £289 fixed :)
