Not a plug or advert, but just wondered if anyone uses the forum Detailing World?
Thoughts, impressions etc? :-)

I use it as a reference facility. The advice and reviews seem sound but like any forum, it takes patience to trawl through to locate specific information.

Beware the write-ups - praise is allowed, but criticism of a vendor/detailer, even if non-confrontational and fully factual, is not allowed - as I discovered after a supposed pro detailer made a total pigs breakfast of work on my 968 cab.

It's an OK place for "how to" stuff on detailing, but not for asking "is ***** any good??" as you can on here.

+1 great reference material and good for ideas.

You get to know whose threads/replies are worth reading if that makes sense. There can be fan boys but you will spot a mile off. I only say if I like a product if I've used it and used plenty of other similar products.

I use the forum, however beware!!!!!!! detailing can easily run away with the money when you are seduced into buying the latest 'Best Product on the market'

D

my second home after this place.
The info is good if you want to learn how to detail a car but as others have said it can be got to have the latest polish / wax. I tend to take what is said on there with an open mind until i see several people saying the same thing then might look in to it.
