Diesel Power Tuning

I think the tuneit is the same product as the dpt unit i had fitted a couple of weeks ago to my C220 cdi.On performance settings average mpg went up from 36 to 38.5 on a tank. Now with economy settings, I'm on target for 500+ miles from a tank, 42mpg.The extra power feels the same as with the performance settings, (athough it starts slightly sooner and above 3500revs it tapers back to standard power) much better response and torque, probably very similar to the sprintbooster feeling + some.Insurance are ok with it - no extra because the max bhp is not changed, still 150bhp. Cheers,Adam

Apologies for the length of post, it's a Sunday and I have time on my hands :)

Quoted information is taken directly from the relevant company website.

DPT is produced by this company:
"Essing Dieseltuning BV is involved in various developments for the Formula-1-Teams as well, including Ferrari, Honda and Toyota. In 1999 Essing Dieseltuning BV supplied Ferrari with an innovation to reduce pulsation losses in a Formula-1-engine at 19,000 rpm. At present Essing Dieseltuning BV works in close co-operation with Honda and Toyota to change a sinus-shaped piston movement in a Formula-1-engine in order to achieve a more efficient movement pattern."

And Tunit is produced by this one:
"Tunit was founded in the year 2000 with the purpose of offering the relatively new concept of "Diesel Performances Tuning".The company comprises of a core staff of around twenty who run the Sales, After Sales, Service, R&D and Marketing departments. Our premises our based in the town of Chorley, in the heart of the industrious and prosperous North West of England. The company saw the disadvantages of existing tuning products on the market and took the basic principle of enhancing an engine with adjustable, externally fitted systems, added unrivalled customer service, support and after sales and ensured that these values were upheld by its network of licensees and representatives. "

And from the DPT site...

'During the Autosport 2008 show we were approached by several Tunit installers asking if they could join our network. In general those who spoke to us are dis-satisfied with their product pricing and the support they receive from the controlling company of the Tunit brand in the UK.
So if you fall into that category ;
Do you want want to join an installer network which is transparent, i.e. YOUR company name, contact details, telephone number , email and postal address appear on the DPT website?'

I guess they are just very similar..

Added a bhp/torque curve using the Eco settings...not my car but from their tests.
