Do Wheels from R171 fit on R170!

Hi there,
i bought some wheels on ebay for my 2000 slk.
the ones i bought claim to be original mercedes thought i cannot find them on official wheels catalog of mersedes and they are
front 7.5jx 17 ET 36
rear 8.5jx 17 ET30

after i found the official catalog it metions that the old slk uses the same rear ,but
7.5j x 37 front.
will i have problems in ridingthe car?

at the alloy wheels direct mercedes benz chart
i see that the size
7.5j x 17 ET 37
8.5j x 17 ET30
is universial and can be used on both r10 and r171.
there are other sizes universal as well.
i should not have a problem i suppose.

A difference of 1mm offset is unlikely to make any difference.

Hi there.I should have updated earlier.anyway.I was told that since i went to 17" from 16" i should lower my car because the larger wheels aded some height.
should i lower with springs ,or should i use lower profile tyres.
now i am 45 front / 40 rear.
i was told to go 40 front and 35 rear and save on those spings.
what would be safer for my car.
