dodgy non drop window clk

Hello folks

Got a 1999 clk..the drivers side window doesnt drop when opening the door and so when i close the door theres a huge gap..ive got to drop it manually and it slots into place and then wind back up

any suggestions?

I worry about my CLS doing that as it's the first car I have had with this feature, and would be interested in the solution.

Have you tried checking the wiring loom into the door, as this must take a lot of wear over the years and could chaff giving you problems?
