Does anyone regret selling a car?

Very cool...I had a couple as demos....one was a strange metallic coral pinky colour. I could have sold it ten times over. Of course, as cool as it was, it wasn't a patch on my 20v Ur Quattros....I had one after another when I became sales manager....happy days! Worth a fortune now of course.

My 2003 bought new, Yellow Fabia vRS, lovely motor, had a brain storm and sold it, then regretted it immediately. 🙄

Ex-Briskoda member? Same year I got my Octavia RS (they could still use RS then). Absolutely loved it. And still at that time when you just couldn't believe a Skoda could be that good.

Yep, Briskoda member, still am as far as I know, not been on for years. 🙂

I miss my W124. Got fed up trying to find a good garage to have it maintained, sold it for a song 10 years ago, replaced with a W211 which had an Airmatic issue which three main dealers couldn't fix which forced me to look further afield for a good Indy which I found 60 miles away who easily sorted issue out and been using them ever since. If I had found them while I had my W124 I would still be driving that.

I only really miss my 1998 LWB 3.0l 24v Petrol Shogun, I had it for almost 16 years and did many many trips in her, Such a reliable useful beastie, Alas she had to go as the engine was starting to show the 250k miles i had put on her ( And the SL500 is definitely the economical upgrade ! )
I tend to do my research, and depending where i am in life buy the best car i can afford that fits my brief and keep it until it is about to die .... If this was a cash regret then i could go on a massive 1970's Jap car list....

My 53 reg Merc c220 coupe evolution edition
First mercedes, was brilliant beige metallic (not the brochure colour I'm sure) cream artico interior, AMG sports pack pano roof and the race car sequential / sequentronic gearbox.

Stories on the gearbox, which was faultless and I actually liked, eventually made me start looking after 3 brilliant years and I bought the excellent Saab convertible which I remapped and ran for 5 years.

But it was, as I drove to pick the Saab up, the only time about a car, I have thought "what the hell am I doing...."

In hindsight it was a good move, but I have never felt the same about moving a car on, either mine or the family wagon.

Not sold yet but I'm beginning to wonder why I'm selling my '55. Spent a fortune on it since I've owned it and love driving it when I get the chance. Might just pull the plug on the advert and keep it. I felt the same when I sold my last 911 and should have kept that.

Never regretted selling a car but I have regretted not buying some good cars that were offered to me at the right price!

Regretted selling the Jag XE-S to an extent.

It was bloody brilliant to drive. The steering, the noise, the engine, everything was on point
The main issues were the "Issues" that it constantly had and the poor interior quality but I still loved it from a driving and emotional perspective
Maybe I could have just kept it and carried on with the repairs. My brain definitely couldnt handle that, but my heart could have.....

Regret selling an actual rust free 1976 BMW 1502 back in the late 90's. Fun cars (oversteer) to drive, and not bad lookers (sharknose) either. Funny thing is the bloke i sold it to seems to have used it for parts for some reason.

Can anyone spot the Alfa Romeo part on this old BMW?
