Double din in 208?

I currently have a Sony head unit in the car and although i'm happy with the sound I have noticed some units on fleabay with Satnav,DVD,Tv, and reverse camera etc but they are double din. Before I go ripping out my stereo ,does anyone know if the (pointless) cubby hole is removable and is there then enough space to fit a DD head unit?

Yes easy job. I have double din DVD unit fitted. The bottom "cubby hole" slides out and there is a very thin piece of plastic left (like a divider) Remove that and fit the DD unit.
