Driving games... not as in games where you get to drive a simulation, but games to play while driving (or technically, while someone else is driving)...

I have a 3-week drive ahead... a grand total of 3 people in the car and 30-odd people withing CB/PMR446 range...

Any good games? eye spy gets a little boring after the 7th time someone sees sand in the desert :p

And no... they're not really kids... but we're all very immature and kids at heart :p

£70 quid for a set of rear headrest LCD with dvd player, the game can be who id going twos up on one screen in the rear!

lol - but that's not very social :p

Nor obnoxious for the other rally drivers :p

Last year we found that we could throw these horrid tangerines we picked up in spain through the windows of the other rally cars... kind of like hot-potato but on wheels...

Dangerous? Yes!
Irresponsible? Yes!
Entertaining? Yes!

When you're in the middle of nowhere... there's no-one to give you a driving without due care and attention ticket :p

Just someone in a truck to make a mess of your a$$ ?

When i was in Morocco , we used to drive the van around with the 'gun door' open lobbing eggs at people / camels / donkeys etc

Childish i know , wouldn't do it now.

I drove with my brother 14000 miles coast to coast and up to Seatle and we tended to talk to each other...

this was when the speed limit was 55mph also :)

Its not so bad talking :)

Do you work for public relations in BT?? 'Its not so bad talking' sounds like a good tag line:D:D

Legs.

person on the right of the car looks at pubs on the right hand side of the road.... person on left looks at them on the left.

whatever ones you see, you count how many legs it would have and the person with the most legs is the winner.

ie:

Horse and Hound = 8 legs; 4 on each animal

Old Man's Tavern = 2 legs on the old man!

you have to argue whether Nags Head would be 0 legs, or 4.

its actually quite good fun. even SWMBO played it with me :D

:thumb:

you can set a time, ie 30 mins or end of journey for them to be the winner as you tally up the results.

Will there be a lot of pubs in the desert or muslim countries ?

No, but i might start up them traditional 'lemon juice' stalls over there but obviously replace the lemon with that vital drink we all need when we are starved and parched - beer! you could make a killing (then eat them to stay alive)

Eggs - will try to source some...

I'm against being obnoxious to random passer-bys... but pranks between challengers is always fun ;)

Pubs... not really... but were bringing our own :p

Wait till one person is asleep.....

Ahem.....move the motor a bit..........................

All scream like you going to die.

Look at expression on newly woken passengers face!

I was a lot younger then , 24 , so maybe i can be excused.

Filming 'The Mummy' in the desert in Morocco , looking a bit slimmer than i am now :o

If you are a passenger its always good to keep your hand on the handbrake (permitting it isnt an MB) and random tugs go well. And if its a manual pull it out of gear at the same time, then prod and poke the driver as they try to redeem the situation.

Its how you test the skill of the driver (and their patience)

Near Ouarzazate, right Howard?

SL300: it's a 1-way journey... £600 in fuel roughly... the car never comes back, it goes to charity once we get to Timbuktu

We flew into the military base at Errachidia , and we stayed ( took over ) a small town called Erfoud .

Still a 45 minute desert drive in the mornings to get to the unit base though !

Good times though , got a lot of time for Moroccan people !
