I am trying to find a way to lower the brightness of the Display Screen. I've already set it to the lowest Brightness setting but it is still too bright, especially when you are driving at night and there are no street lights.

Even if the brightness cannot be lowered any further, is there a way to turn the screen off but keep the CD playing?

I hope there is a way. The brightness is so annoying

My former SAAB 95 had a 'NIGHT' button, when pressed it will turn off ALL illumination except for the Speedo, Fuel and Eng Temp. Even then, all you could see were the needles and numbers, everything else was black...damn good for the eyes.

This is my first gripe with my E320.

I am sure you can change the screen brightness - I think the control is within the system button and then settings. There is also a button on the top right hand corner of the COMAND module which allows you to switch between day/night/off for the screen display. My only qualification to all of this is that my COMAND is a CD system and not DVD, so not sure if that makes any difference.
