DVLA Data Check

it amuses me that the fuel type for your van (and my car) is described as heavy oil.

:) Good point :D

Strange

both sites work fine on the baleno. but only the DVLA has the right info on the SLK.

the RAC has info using my private reg of 4 cars ago. so it seems 2002 is the latest it is up to.

:) You always get one!!!

Just checked my car, we have had the same registration number for years and it has been transferred on a regular basis

Manufacturer Mercedes
Model E320 CDI Avantgarde A
Body type Estate
Colour Blue
Fuel Type HEAVY OIL**
Date Manufactured 03 February 2004

There is certainly no set pattern to how up todate this site is? I use it to confirm things, but will NEVER trust its accuracy.

**As has been said Heavy oil gives impressions of huge sea going vessels :D

you do, and suprisingly, its always me! Must be a coincidence.

my plate was on the R170, went on the scooby, the R171 and this one before it got its new plate.

RAC, still on the R170 2002. Bought 2002, sold 2003.

DVLA has it okay tho.

I wonder if the DVLA puts a time lag on information disclosure and because your plate has been 'busy' the system is simply playing catch-up? Clutching at straws but trying to look for a reasonable explanation.

Unlikely but possible. If tehre is a time lag then it's probably for DVLA to get things right before it is released to the masses.
It took DVLA three goes over two months to issue me a correct V5 for my current car.
