Iv been having problems with power and mainly accelarating on my 98 e300td.the car keeps losing complete power for a short while whilst driving, its just like the accelarator goes dead for a couple seconds and needs a to be pressed hard for it to get going back to normal, problem is keeps happening.

After arecent diagnostic was told that i needed a new MAF sensor aswell as some new glow plugs, computer also picked up a P1615 Control Module Supply Voltage, and a P1630 Drive Authorization Signal, which i have no idea about:confused:

so the first thing i did was changed the MAF. an original Bosch MAF sensor with the tube fitted today and im still having no joy.The problem is still the same with no change.

any help appreciated

Hi

Are you totally sure she is not taking air??

230K

If the accelerator goes completely dead check the brake lamp swith isn't activating as that will kill the accelerator.

The DAS problem means the key isn't always activating the ignition.

Sorry not technical with these cars 230K,
Do you mean taking in air from the clear pipes from the fuel filter?or from elsewhere?

Dieselman, the accelarator dosnt go completeley dead, its an on and off thing and only dies for a few seconds, i have let go of accelarator and repress hard for it to get going again, keeps on happening and im only driving at low revs aswell.
iv tried unplugging the MAF sensor but still happens.

would this problem have anything to do with the turbo?

and where would i be looking to check the break lamp switch?

what is location for that brake lamp switch?

Under the dash at the top of the brake pedal.
