what's it like around time?
Wholly crap !!I've only managed 42 mid trip. By the time I've fannied around through few sets of lights etc it always drops. There must be a remap in your car or similar to achieve those figures?

Yes the car has had a good West-Tuning re-map, it's driving really great now..![]()
Phew, I thought as much. Can you back up the computer claims with tank to tank fill up calculations? Most remaps 'con' the computer to reporting false info.
hi all
currently got a bmw e65 745i and currently got it up for sale.
Im now looking for a diesel, something thats good on fuel
what are the rea life figures?
Buy a BMW E60 525d or 530d 60ish mpg on a run 50ish mpg around town from either engine, also very mappable I'm afraid when it come to diesels MB just aren't in the same league as BMW
Having just committed heracy, I'll now go and put on the flameproof suit![]()
Disagree, drove a 730d and the engine was rough and clattery and not in the same leugue as the V6 MB engine for refinement, linearity and responsiveness.
Depends on the engine, that was probably the old 3 litre engine, the new one in the E60 is smooth as silk you would never know its a diesel. In terms of power there is not much in it between a 320 cdi and a 530d but the delivery on a 530d is much smoother. But in response to the OP question when it comes to real life fuel consumption the BMW wins by a mile.
