OP....why is it the Lemon thread?.....looks like a great car with a few minor issues.....far from a lemon!!....its not even yellow!!! Still love that shape 212.....it may be a little more dated compared to the facelift......but I prefer the rear aches and it looks a bit more angry too....which I like!!!

I am a bit of a perfectionist but like to get a car that needs a few bits doing hence Lemon. Thankyou I do like it and it goes well. I had a w211 e320 a few years back and its a nice step up from that.

I have decided to start a thread on my new to me 2010 e350.
I stole the car it was advertised for 6500, I traveled down to view the car and picked out plenty of issues and ended up getting it for 4500.
Jobs to do:
Service the pan roof due to being slow (done)
Replace the dipped beam build o/s (done) £41 later
Wheel refurb
Good detail
Few scuffs on the bumpers
Drivers side heated seat not working!!!
The bodywork is very tidy no dings, it has 14 stamps at Mercedes so mechanically its all good fingers crossed.
Spec is pretty good having the pan roof and bang & oleffson sound

Yup, I miss not having the sunroof on mine. But I prefer the feel of the 16" winters to the 17" summers, so 19" was not offered with me in mind I don't think.

To be fair that would definitely go if it was mine. Don't like them at all and they age any car they are on by about 10 years! Which other mass produced cars have bonnet mascots these days? As always it's personal taste.

Of course personal taste. My view is that the W212 is ageless and can wear whatever she likes. I haven’t seen it here, but I saw abroad a face-lift with a different front, star at the top and spoke wheels and I much preferred it to all the sports type guises. I rushed to see if it’s economically possible to adopt and it isn’t.

But I can easily live with my front and I can live without the sunroof. It’s the non-folding back-seat that makes my mind boggle (and the feeble DAB radio reception, a bit).

I like the 'gunsight'. Classic Merc.
Although it would be better paired with a couple of 50 Cal Brownings hidden behind the front grille.
