E55 V E240 £££'s - IS IT WORTH IT ??

Glad to see everyone agrees with me !! (Other than the kids)

I took my son to cycling and he (as opposed to the girls ) thought it was open, managed to open the taps just once, but as I said to him, its a great way of removing your stomach and sticking it in the back seat without surgery !! OMG !!

It is awesome, now to find a happy home for Old Hermann now that he is replaced by The Hermannator !

Great advice all round, can someone introduce me to Olly please ? Phone number or email, or is he a regular here ??

Is the 2000 model W210 facelifted?
I have a 1999 W210 E55 AMG (saloon version) and it's an amazing car. The handling surprised me for such a big heavy car and the engine is incredible.

I can't believe £7k for one though (unless it IS facelift), I bought my saloon for £5k this year with 87k miles, is the estate version worth so much more?

Hi, yeah it seems the Estate version of all the E classes are worth considerably more than the saloon, there are so very few of them.

I am just back from a track day at Silverstone with my mate in his Porsche Carrera Cup car (mmmmm) and am still getting over the buzz of driving the AMG, what an amazing car, just a shame the M1 is such a wreck at the moment, hardly the road of dreams. The Cup car made up for it though.

I am glad you are enjoying your W210 E55. I bought a 2001 registered E55 estate, 18 months ago, and am very pleased with it. So far it has proven to be very reliable, other than a transmission sensor failure, which seem to be a common fault. It is very rare to see one on the road nowadays. However, having driven a c63 and new e63 at Mercedes Brooklands recently, I am trying to think how I can trade up!!
