Lets hope when olly and the boys service mine in a couple of weeks I will receive really poor customer service and I find all the mods on mine :D

That actually made me laugh uncontrollably for a good minute!! Lol :D

Welcome to the forum.

I shouldn't really admit this but there are times when I felt I could do with a bit more oomph. :o

How come you sold those other cars?

I thought it was time to move on really... Besides, I got offered sums which were too good to turn down if I'm honest with you.

Why don't you start with some basic modding? (I.e. pulley and map or even just a map - it does works wonders) :)

Am I tempting you now? :p

A remap does do wonders for the 55, I recall my first experience with a DMS mapping, my first mod, car was a different animal, not saying it was as powerful as it currently is with my other mods, but had a new engine at one stage before my modding, and knew as soon as I got into the new engined car, something was not quite as it previously was. DMS came down and mapped it again FOC, wow within 200yards, knew the car was right again, it was money well spent.
My other recall under being impressed from something I had fitted, albeit I had a few mods on at this time, was when Ollie fitted my MB 80mm TB, whilst initially taking it easy, on the way home I could feel that extra response from the engine. I am wanting the 82mm TB now, but it will have to wait.
Lastly, whilst not everyone's favorite, had a Carbonio air intake fitted, a right bitch to fit, really poor quality to their claims, and Carbonio's after sales was not worth salt, would never ever recommend their company product, but unfortunatly when I get on the power with this intake, the car makes a real positive different noise, now wondering with all my stuff that has finally arrived from the US, nearly 20days from US to UK, UGH! but that Ollie and jack are going to fit shortly, plus jerrys tuning input at Pauls event, what is my car going to be, Goodwood and Vmax days will be the finding point, and I can't wait, although I feel Savman's car, probaly at Vmax will be like me a donkey running up against the likes of Shergar. Do you think Paul likes hay?

I will be taking and uploading some pictures of the E55 on the weekend - weather permitting!! I also have a few of the Supra lying around which I will upload once I can get a minute on the pc.

I would like to modify mine but I just can't justify the cost and I can't really be rsed either if I am honest...

If I did, would be the remap, pulley, Kleemann headers and Vossen CV3 wheels - with appropriate suspensionage.

I once looked at Supras - great cars (I liked the previous shape as well but not as much). Ended up with an M3 Evo but was considering a 1990/G black TT and a 1998/S white TT import - which had a lot more spec.

I would love a GT-R (that's probably the only Japanese performance car I would consider) but the running costs put me off.

I'm getting too tight in my old age...

I reckon the biggest challenge is going to be putting the power down. Using all of 700bhp+ and lots of torque through the rear wheels on a front engined, RWD saloon is going to be a struggle I would think?

Good luck with the project, will make an interesting project with deep pockets and time!

It can be an issue, I can wheelspin at 70-80 mph if I want to.

It might actually be a lot cheaper than you expect... Have you made any enquiries?

Mine was a 1997 model.

What running costs? All car have running costs albeit some more than others... Lol

Considering I had a much lighter Supra kicking out over 1000hp at the wheels with only the aid of a racelogic tc system (on road tyres) I'm sure the over-engineered E55 will hold the road as good if not better with all the necessary handling upgrades...

I could burn rubber in the Supra in 4th gear, so I know what you mean! :)

I was the victim of a very embarrassing kill story, during a recent pistonheads meet on the South Coast a Toyota Prius managed to get in between me and the fast disappearing cars ahead and I had no idea where the next stop off point was. At the lights on the next roundabout I moved into the middle lane as the Prius went to the far right lane, the ground was damp the lights changed before I had stopped and Mr Prius decided I wasn't going anywhere he booted it and I still had my front wheels at an angle. Long story short I didn’t get very far and humbly slotted back in behind the Prius as we exited the roundabout and I had to wait for an opportunity to finally get past him.

Yes, I know the headers are c£3k I think, the wheels are the same - pulley and remap aren't too bad at all I think.

How often the GT-R needs to be serviced and the cost of it?

Good luck if u need any help let me know
