First world problems, I know

I got currently two options in terms of E63S and I really can't decide. I know, ultimately it is up to me, but still wonder.

Here just the key differences

First one:
3500 miles
Reg: Jan 2020
Black Metallic
Advantage over the other one : New (C63) style steering wheel (love it)

Second one:
4200 miles
Reg: September 2019
Selenite Grey Metallic
Advantage over first one:
Night Package
Thermotropic Aircon
High Beam Assist Plus
HUD

Now the second one is 3k cheaper. I love the additional options of the second one, in fact, it is the exact spec I would have chosen.

Then the question I guess. 6 months less warranty worth the price saving and additional options and lose the he awesome steering wheel?

Is the HUD just another expensive gimmick that can break ?

Also I guess the test drive will reveal whether multi focus glasses are a problem with the HUD anyway. No point if it's all blurry lol

Can't actually. Because they have been removed from the websites due to my reservations. Which is kinda annoying because I don't even have pictures now. Although one should pop back soon as the reservations expire.

In either case, the rest of the world will be blurry once you are on the move.

As approved used cars, wont the Warranty be the same on both?, which i believe is 2 years for used AMG models.

Both black. And no clue about warranty tbh. Was actually one reason I didn't want to go used or pre-reg'd. But the massive depreciation is a convincing argument. I presume they offer extended warranties

Personally going off them details you gave for me it would be the 2019, the selelite grey is a real nice colour and has them extra optional goodies 😁

I've owned and run two W212 E63's but not a W213.

Depreciation on these cars is monumental, so 700 miles and 4 months age will make no difference whatsoever when you want to move it on again. What may make a difference to its saleability is spec. For example, if you do much night driving on unlit roads then High Beam Assist Plus is very worthwhile.

More important though is that you're going to be living with the car for a number of years, so missing out on the options you really want on the car would be a huge mistake, imo.

If you're that that concerned about the steering wheel you could always look into retrofitting the later variant. It's likely to be expensive, but doable, whereas retrofitting tri-zone climate control or High Beam Assist Plus would be totally cost prohibitive. However, my guess is that if you bought the better-optioned car you'll soon forget about the steering wheel.

I really wouldn't worry about that, its not that in your face its a subtle feature, thats a picture I just got off autotrader.

If you can read the standard dash with bifocals, the HU is unlikely to be a problem - but only you will know after a test drive.

Thanks yea all good - Besides as you guys say - might be good for re-sale if anything .. But the way the UK goes right now who knows how long V8s are still a thing ... Right now I am in the mood of keeping it :p

Selenite Grey wins for me.

The car should come with remainder of the new car warranty. If it has ran out of that warranty period it should come with AUC AMG Warranty which is a minimum of 2 years at most if not all dealerships.

I will likely slap satin PPF on it but yea - the grey wins really .. by that alone.

Is this the steering wheel you're talking about?
This one is on my own car.
I'd have thought that both those cars would have had High Beam Assist Plus.
Anyway, it would be the second cor for me.

That's the one, yes. And I think you are right - The first one does have High Beam Assist - the Oasis report is just out of order a bit and I missed it ..

You're bound to be able to buy one of these steering wheels.

I had a black C63 once, its a colour I will never entertain again.

Yea I wouldn't leave it black metallic ... putting satin PPF on makes a big difference.
