Electric Folding Mirror Slow

My drivers side mirror works as it should, its just very slow. I first though that perhaps a motor was on the way out, but now not so sure as its not only the folding action thats slow, but actually adjusting the mirror itself is slow. I have squirted a bit of wd40 where I can see the hinge, and greased the cogs I can get to. This has helped a bit, the mirror no longer needs a helping had, but it still about 2seconds slower than the other when folding out.

Any ideas on what it might be, or how to remove the cover for an electric folding mirror? I have checked out the how to on mirrors, but I really dont think my mirrors fold forwards like the non-electric ones shown.

Had the same problem on my W210 estate, can't really help, cause it sorted itself out. If its has only just started happening, leave it and you may be lucky like I was.

Thanks, it seems to have gotten better over the last few days. It almost folds and unfolds as fast as the other mirror, and I'm exercising the mirror as and when i remember. I think the WD40 has worked its way in to do some use. :bannana:

I had same issue on my W203 with the delay when mirror folded out (I do not do much milega ein my car... but after a while it cured itself through regular use) withot having to do anything. WHen I ha dprob with morror the car was not garged then - may be got something to do with cold weather as well ?
