Hello

THought I'd better introduce myself after a few months of reading the forums and making use of the mountains of useful information on the site. Bought my CLK320 in 2006 at a price which still makes me smile and love the styling, ride and silky smooth V6.

So far I have solved my MAF issue (albeit maybe temporarily) using the howto and also unblocked the under bonnet drainage just in time last year, no doubt saved me some £££.

Slight electrical issue at the moment which I haven't been able to search out a solution on the site. I have the partial electric seats and the drivers side has suddenly stopped working. Nothing happens at all when pressing the buttons on the door or folding the seat and using the handle. Have checked the fuses and the wires going into the seat base and all appears fine, although can't check where the wires plug into the floor without undoing the torx bolts at the front of the seat runners - I'm thinking its unlikely to have become disconnected under the floor anyway. Are there any other checks I could carry out to find out what is causing the problem, any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help.

James

Is there a clicking noise when you operate the buttons? If not then you are getting nothing to the control unit under the seat... So fuse, wiring or door control unit.

Thanks guys. No clicking at all. I'll dig out the multimeter tomorrow and see if my limited DIY abilities can narrow it down to fuse, wiring or door control unit!
