Hi all,
Got a bit of a b****r here. You may see an earlier thred about a gearbox problem, seems maybe not.
Anyway engine started missing (2003 C200k with 85k on it) on tues (as in straight away) having done 400 or so totally smooth miles on the previous couple of days. You can feel it when driving around at 30mph, its much more noticable at 70 on the mway. If you floor it, theres plenty of power, its just a bit 'jerky' as it were. Which initially led the local indy to suspect glycol in the gearbox. Anyway, their head mechanic was not totally convinced and had a good look around and remains convinced its engine not gearbox. Overall they were looking for 1.5 days or so.
Plugs..OK
leads..OK
fuel filter..OK (also drained a bit of fuel off incase that was poor)
Laptop (star tester I guess) did indicate something 'going on' with cyl2 (no fault code as such so no idea what this actually means). So they swapped electrical components between 1 and 2, and now cyl 3 shows something, but again, no fault code as such.
Any ideas, MAF seems to be a common thread, but, from what I can see mine is far too driveable for that..all other threads seem to talk about little or no power.
