exhaust not blowing... but sounds like it

ok,,, had the old gal down to motorsave and they had her up on the 4 poster... checked the full system and its brand new by the way... no blowing at all...

but

when im out on the road and giving it some welly.... it sounds like its blowing from the front end... like a raspy noise...
could it be something other than the exhaust blowing?

Any part of the exhaust replaced recently?

It may just blow under load. May be worth splitting the exhaust and resealing it uip after cleaning the faces etc.

The problem is reminiscent of an exhaust fault my Merc' suffered last week. The clamp connecting the exhaust manifold and the exhaust system had weakened due to rust and gases were escaping around the junction of the two pipes ... but only under load, i.e. foot on the accelerator. At tickover there was barely any noise but rev the engine and it sounded like a motorbike. A new clamp solved the problem.
