Hello as above what do people who already use these think? Just about to change mine and decided on 452's then notice 912's slightly cheaper also.

Thanks

I think 452's are the slightly more 'sporty' orientated tyre.

Are you getting them from Camskill ?

Thanks,

There's a tyre fitter near me that has both so easier to buy them there as I can then have them fitted. My original thought was 452's so will still with them. Sporty.....cool will be handy towing the caravan ;)

912's are ok too. Can't really compare as we used to put them on the Espace where the 452 was not an option.

I looked at the 452s and ended up buying Kumho KU31s.

Only fitted today but impressed with the lack of noise and the grip is good so far. I'm sure they will get better when bedded in.

yeah quite a few stories on line about the noise of the falkens. I'll probably try KU31's for my next summer tyres.

Will it not work out cheaper to buy them from Camskill and then just pay to have them fitted ?

Camskill deliver next day .

912 are quieter than the 452 and tend to tramline less

Hmmm been waiting to swap my fronts that are now well past their best - Howard suggested 452's some time ago (yes good price from Camskill ish £71!) but also seen quite a few have used 912's - are they better?

Keen to find something that doesn't tramline like the worn Conti's - Will suggested PS2's are fair bit more expensive

So many to choose from :dk:

912's are assymetrical , and 452's are directional apparently .

Put two new 452's on the back of mine the other day !

I'ved used 452's on a couple of cars, front and rear wheel drive. Good overall performance though they did wear a little quicker than I expected.
Haven't tried the 912 but I think Falken tyres in general are good value.

That worked for me.

Local fitter was £175 per tyre fitted and I had to wait for him getting them in.

Camskill delivered and I got them fitted locally for sub £150 per tyre.

That's £50 beer money :thumb:

Just checked camskills £237 posted for two rears against fitter in Macclesfield near me for £242 fitted. Chap I've used before so actually a tad cheaper as if I had them dropped off would have to get them fitted and balanced. Thanks though

I had 15k out of my rears , and Peter had 20k plus out of the rears on his ( w221 S class )

^ I'm lucky if I will do 6K miles on the car although compared to the ML I had before hand the back seems to be a little happy to lose traction. The current rears however are down to 3MM.

That's it I'm going for the 452's :) all round.

Also changing the wheels from standard 16" Avant guard to some Merceded 'special' 18" ones. So it should make the big bus look a bit more to my taste.

Will report back soon, maybe next week if I can arrange fitting.

Thanks all
