I must clean the '43 on saturday. It is immaculate at all time but will get a special clean for the meet.

Sorry for the late response Mika just got in from work but it is a 1999 green black C43 with 79k......with No - bose system
parking sensors
rear blind
folding mirrors
sun roof

but mods iv done are - s class grille
xenon headlamps
xenon fog lamps
AMS bottom pulley
18" staggered monoblocks
double din stereo conversion with sat nav
real carbon fibre interior trim

Well its now wed evening and coldish in essex but clear skies remain so 3 days to go
Will it? or Wont it? Rain or Shine sat evening.........Dont matter guys key in turn on and drive like you hate it (but not across the dartford bridge like that though)

"Major annuncement" I am now the proud owner of a "clay bar" yes ive looked at it, rubbed it and still its a grey lump waiting to go somewhere....and the missus is starting to suspect somethings going down.........I might just surprise her but not sat night lol.

Clay bars are awesome.

It's surprising how many people either don't know what they are or haven't used one before.

They prepare the paint surface extremely well before waxing etc! :bannana:

You'll be very happy with the results. :bannana:
You'll also be amazed at how much crap is on your car that you didn't know was there!

Just remember to keep the clay bar and surface lubricated, keep the clay moving and turn the clay to a clean side when it gets dirty.


Also, it is advised to tear off the amount of clay that you want to use and keep the rest clean for the next time you clay the car.

If you drop the clay, throw it away! (which is another good reason to tear off the amount you want to use, in case you drop it!).

Clay will also remove wax, so you may not want to clay your car too regularly unless it really needs it.

Yes, it was extremely cold here too!
Hopefully things will be dry for us on saturday night.

Guys, i hate to dissapoint, but i will be out of this one, Mrs has booked a meal out and already arranged the parents to babysit (without asking me! ARRRGGGHH!!)

was looking forward to some banter! and meeting some more of the forum AMG guys.

anyway, winter wheels going back on over the weekend and hopefully get a chance to give it a quick wash... If for some reason (ie; the rain) it gets re-scheduled count me in!
