First Private Sale of an SLS AMG?

Overpriced?! For the flawless design and quality of this car it is totally worth it...best car around by far

I'm thinking of test driving at Mercedes Benz World this weekend, been checking out this video
YouTube - SLSRareExperiences's Channel
Has anyone tried it yet?

Phil Notley --- a true Mercedes enthusiast!!--- kept the SLS for 150 miles ---wonder if he sells FA cup final tickets in his spare time.

Reckon a few Premiership footballers will have them soon.

Qouting myself....
According to The Sun
"PATRICE EVRA has become king of the Man U car park.
After a nine month wait, the French left-back has taken delivery of a £150,000 silver, 225mph Mercedes SLS AMG 6.3.
The motor goes from 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds. He could try the top speed on some of his team-mates' driveways."

"king of the Man U car park" - as if there are bragging rights in a Prem Car Park:crazy:

Sls...

Just a quick note to any of you who are interested.. I ordered my Mercedes SLS in 2007.. yes 2007. When I placed the order they looked at me as though I was mad.. in the end it turned out they were right!!

The whole experience was a complete farce and Mercedes have managed to take a loyal customer with a number of their vehicles and make him a bitter MB critic. I have never purchased a vehicle for the purpose of selling it for profit but the SLS was not a car I could keep which was a real shame.

The engine, awesome, the gearbox, rubbish and the seats with the lumbar support rocker switch on the leading edge of the seat just behind your knee.. ridiculous. AMG make great engines but they have alot to learn about the rest of a car!! And in case you think I dont know.. I have had a number of AMG vehicles and currently among the Merc's I am selling due to MB UK's terrible stance is an S65AMG.

Because I sold my car as it was put together on friday afternoon at about 4pm, or thats how it felt, they refused to supply one to my brother on a totally seperate order.. and do you want to know why? The head of sales at MB UK's personal assistant told me that they did not want people to make a profit from their vehicles.. from that I presume has I lost money on it they would have been happy... UNLUCKY I DIDNT!!

I am happy to answer any questions any of you may have regarding the car or the bullies at MB UK.

Hello and welcome.

Any photos of said car?

The S65 you are selling doesn't happen to be a W220 does it?

they seem to be fetching about 15-20k under list at the moment.
i think the problem is that they made to many showroom cars for mb dealers to have sitting in there showrooms and all of a sudden they have put them up for sale as static demos.
the thing is if they had kept the supply tight of these sls like you say that mb were vetting its customers they probably would have held there money better.
what i dont understand is if they were vetting how comes the likes of tom hartley, had 2 the day they were released and they were vatQ cars so would have had to have been invoiced to his company name, romans had a couple bramleys had 4 all delivery miles.
the thing is these dealers are not a bad thing because they make the car seem really desirable so everyone thinks that they will hold money well.
i think they will settle about 120k within the year.

Every time that I see one, I cannot decide if I like it or not. The front profile looks good, the rear looks good (but I do not think it complements the front - they are like two different teams designed the front and rear) but I really don't like the side profile at all.

The SLR on the other hand....good grief, I would walk over burning Audi's to have one of those.

I had a good look at a couple today at MB World (I went to get some wiper blades), and my impression is nice car, but it doesn't look like £184,000. There is a missing wow factor, Setanta is right, the rear doesn't belong on that car.

The F200 concept car, now that has wow factor. If I could drive any of the cars there home, it would be the 230CE 3.5 ragtop. Or maybe the 560SEC. Or perhaps the red SL300.............

Lovely looking but when I sat in the drivers seat and tried to close the door.. couldn't reach! For £190'000 I want a car who's door handle I can reach. I'm 6ft tall.

I've gone from thinking it's drop dead gorgeous when it first appeared in the press & TV to being disappointed when I saw it in the flesh first time to now frankly not liking it.

I think once the novelty has worn off the prices will drop pretty sharply

"It seems they made this beautiful body and then stuck a set of mainstream amg wheels on it, same style as the new C and E classes."

Sorry but it aint a beatiful body.

I really am trying to like it fron OK but let down with lights. As for the rear end !!!!!!!!!!

For a 190K I want the door to close itself at my command.

I love literally all AMGs, but SLS is a definite exception.

It's ugly, it's not much powerful than other rivals and it's stupidly overpriced. End of story.
