Hi All,

I have an ML270CDI 2002 - where would be the best place to fit an oil catcher (with pics preferably!) and which one is the best one to buy?

I am about to do a full service (filters and oil), replace oil seperator and thermostat, clean EGR and inlet manifold - figured the best way of avoiding sludge was to fit an oil catcher!

Any pipes I should replace/part numbers?

Is there a gasket set for the inlet manifold?

Any thoughts on placement and which pipes?

**Basically, I am about to do what forum user Sudesh has recently done......but being a surgeon, I am squeamish about oil leakage!

Cheers gang

The oil is good, it's the EGR soot that is bad.

So, not much point then!
