Before i start Dieselman and Robert Saunders i mean headlights not public exposure....:D

I was driving to the Gym today and for some reason i thought about when i owned a Mk1 Golf Cabriolet how when ever i saw one or another VW we would flash our headlights in aknowledgment.

This got me thinking does anyone do this with other Mercedes...... well i am going to start....... so i want to see all ye Merc drivers flashing

I think it is governed by the same laws as using the horn

Don't start flashing your horn, otherwise you really will get into trouble, maybe not with the Police...

When I had my CRX , CRX's used to flash each other ...

Dont VW drivers have some kind of hand signal (wait for the jokes)

riders of large bikes (no joke intended but there are many,) raise a hand from to say hi to other large bikers, they seem to get upset when pizza guys on Honda Cubs do the same, I believe bus drivers do a similar thing when they see their mates too

Bus drivers round here tend to stop in the middle of the road as they are passing each other and have a chat ....

Gonna wear my horn out if they don't stop soon ;)

When I had my Mk2 Golf had few waves/flashes from drivers by. Feel part of the Dub Club. Lol.

Also joined a Z3 forum, who a few members have said they will keep an eye out so perhaps a similar thing there too?

Yep, they do that here in Buxton too!!

As for the flashing...I think a dignified wave may be more apt for MB ownwers.;) Though you'd look a bit of a dipstick until it caught on.:D

.

I think not. Our local Russian mafiosi might get the wrong idea.

So shall we start a new trend, flashing or hand singal:bannana: :bannana:

I think you need a specialist/uncommon vehicle to warrant flashing at passing like vehicles, or you could be flashing a hell of a lot!

Hand signals I feel - MG owners do it (although less so to MG metros and the like). A simple wave by uncurling of the right hand form the steering wheel became instinctive when I had the MGB - I now find my fingers twiching when another 202 Sport is heading towards me.

I've been known on occasion to lift my hand in acknowledgment to passing Corrados....... from the Merc:crazy: :o :) . For some reason they've never noticed:D. Got out of the habit now.

Lol, I do feel a bit envious of other Merc drivers now I'm in a BMW, and of other VW drivers without my Golf anymore, feel "out of the club.":(
