Folding Mirror's - Only One Works

Hi All,

Not sure if 'electronics' fits the bill for this, but, having recently purchased my first merc, a w203 c180 coupe, i've noticed that when i press the button to fold the mirrors in, only the passenger side one seems to actually fold. The drivers side one remains 'fixed' in its position.

Is this a common problem, is there an easy way to diagnose and fix the issue?

Most likey the wires have failed in the wing mirror.

Easy DIY job... if you know how to use a soldering iron.

Or.......like a previous E Class I had, the "broken" folding mirror sprang into life when I sprayed it with a silicon spray aerosol. Apparently the mechanisms can be prone to sticking.
Or........it could be broken as Major774 suggested.
